The jhallar is a distinct feature found in the border of Banarasi saris. The jhallar is a narrow fringe like pattern that looks
like a string of upright leaves. Along with the border the pallav too is heavily embroidered. Designs densely woven with gold and
multicoloured thread embellish the pallav giving the Banarasi sari a royal elegance. The Banarasi sari casts a wide net. Its beautiful
craftwork and its innate sophistication has not only earned it appreciation but has also made it a source of inspiration worldwide.
The Banarasi sari rarely fails to flatter a woman and a wardrobe without a Banarasi sari is indeed an incomplete one.
